Until you can afford one of your own, find out where you can rent a portable
BVW. Renting portables invariably costs less than renting an edit deck (and
are a hell of a lot easier to transport). Do you know people at a couple of
small production houses? You might be able to work out a cut-rate deal with
them. That also means you will have a second source if the first is
unavailable. Simply add the cost of rental onto each job. There's no need to
advertise this to all your clients. If you owned one, you'd have to charge
higher rates anyway to help pay it off.

So when clients ask if you have BetaSP output, you can truthfully say "yes".
